09/03/2013 In document 20130903-oglobo__satc.pdf, we learn that:
- U.S. Secret Service conducts intelligence operations in Brazil and Mexico
- In particular, they intercepted all communications of Enrique Pena Nieto and nine of his close associates. Nieto is a Mexican politician, who was, at the time, considered (and rightly so) as the future winner of the 2012 Mexican presidential elections.
- The intelligence services also carried out this type of operation on the former president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff.
